About Little Seeds Family Childcare
Care for Young Minds & Hearts

INTRODUCING
Heather Madsen
Hi! I'm Heather! I love working with children and encouraging the positive development of their little minds and hearts. After working in professional childcare settings for more than 8 years, I saw additional need for childcare services in our area and opened Little Seeds Family Childcare LLC.
I grew up in this area and have lived here for over 30 years. I enjoy doing almost anything outdoors including fishing, hunting, camping, hiking and golf. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and I'm a sucker for game nights. Our family lives on site with our dog, Cody, and two bunnies.

As a young, single mother in my early 20's I was faced with placing my daughter in childcare early on so I could go to work. I sought to find an in-home daycare that would provide the care my child would need to ensure her development when I couldn't be there.

At Little Seeds Family Childcare we seek to attract families with similar values. The children in our program will participate in a full range of activities and age-appropriate learning experiences that will enhance development and provide socialization to ensure they learn basic skills and concepts they will use for years to come. Our programming fosters healthy development for children in a safe and caring environment.
MY APPROACH
Healthy, Happy Kids
Every stage of development is so important as your child grows. They are little sponges who crave interaction and opportunity to unleash their curiosity.

Little Seeds Family Childcare is an in-home daycare. An "in-home daycare" provides care in a professional caregiver's home where children are immersed in a home-like setting rather than an institutional center. We have a range of children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, so the children in our care experience a range of curated social and emotional activities specific to their age group(s) while receiving individualized care and building strong bonds together.

I will always try my hardest to encourage kind thoughtful behavior towards others and stress the use of good manners. As their caregiver, I focus on looking after the children in a motherly way while teaching them healthy eating habits, building team spirit and fostering a caring attitude towards others.

Key Program Highlights

Social Development
Healthy social development means children have the skills and tools they need to function in our society. This is especially important once they reach school age and enter group programs like sports, classrooms, and play settings.
At Little Seeds we strive to ensure healthy emotional and social development through group and individual activities like crafts, music, singing, dancing, reading, cooking and dining together.
Routine & Manners
Providing boundaries and routines for children creates a safe space for them to feel secure as they explore and grow. At Little Seeds our days are loosely structured with routines designed to help our little ones stay on track while having freedom to play and experience new things. These routines also encourage manners and incorporate social norms to help develop little minds in a healthy way.
Nutrition
Nutrition is an extremely important part of children's development. That's why I offer fresh-prepped, homemade meals and snacks for the kids. Little Seeds also participates in the Milestones Child and Adult Care Food Program which requires providers meet certain nutritional requirements. If your child requires special nutritional or medical needs, please be sure to include this with your application.
